Analytics

Octet carries no advertising trackers and no third-party tracking pixels. If privacy-friendly analytics are enabled for a deployment, they use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors or track you across other sites.

• No cookies are set for analytics.
• No cross-site or cross-device profile is built.
• Aggregate page metrics only — never your study answers or saved records.

Payments

Octet is free to study. If you choose to buy Premium, checkout is handled by RevenueCat (Web Billing) and Stripe. Your card details are entered directly into their secure checkout and never touch Octet's own code.

• An anonymous RevenueCat purchase id is stored in this browser (octet.rc.appUserId) so your Premium access is recognised on this device.
• Keep your receipt email — it is how you manage or recover access.
• Without a configured billing key the app ships fully free, with no purchase surfaces at all.

Browser-local study data

Progress, settings, saved records, quiz history, flashcard mastery, and workspace state are stored in this browser using scoped localStorage keys — not on a server.

User data controls

The /data route lets you inspect, export, import, and reset this app's browser-local data without touching unrelated localStorage entries on the same origin.

No accounts for studying

Octet needs no sign-in to study and offers no cross-device sync of your progress. Your study data leaves this browser only if you export it yourself, or — should you purchase Premium — when the payment processor handles that checkout. Move your progress to another device manually with the Export and Import controls on the /data route.
