Nucleophilicity vs Basicity

Nucleophilicity = how fast it attacks carbon (kinetic, steric matters). Basicity = equilibrium with proton (thermodynamic, pKa matters). Good nucleophiles aren't always strong bases (e.g., I⁻, RS⁻).
