Jones Reagent (CrO₃/H₂SO₄/H₂O) - oxidizing reagent. Strong oxidation to carboxylic acid. Common uses: 1° Alcohol → Carboxylic acid, 2° Alcohol → Ketone, Aldehyde → Carboxylic acid. Aqueous conditions. 1° alcohols go all the way to carboxylic acid.
