E/Z Configuration - organic chemistry study tip. Mnemonic: Z = "Zame Zide" (same side), E = "Entgegen" (opposite). Use CIP priorities on each alkene carbon. If higher priority groups are on same side = Z. Opposite sides = E. Not the same as cis/trans!
